NVIDIA Quadro VCA
NVIDIA® Quadro® Visual Computing Appliance
Accelerate design and VFX production workflows with the NVIDIA® Quadro® Visual Computing Appliance (VCA) — powerful network attached appliance that harnesses the power of the highest performing NVIDIA GPUs. It's accessible to anyone on the network, is easily integrated into design workflows, and can linearly scale to deliver noiseless, interactive global illumination. The predictability and accuracy of physically-based realism is now fully interactive to speed decision making within the creative process.
Your Rendering Workflow Just Got A Lot Faster
Run industry-standard applications with GPU-accelerated renderers and Quadro VCA to turbocharge your results. Quadro VCA allows designers to make critical adjustments or design decisions quickly, while reducing reliance on costly physical prototypes or overnight renders — saving precious time in bringing your ideas to market. An ideal solution for automakers, consumer-product manufacturers, and other design-intensive disciplines, Quadro VCA supports both Iray and V-Ray GPU-accelerated renderers.
Benefits of NVIDIA Quadro VCA
- Accelerate design and VFX workflows and deliver photograph-quality images faster than ever before.
- A single VCA or multiple VCAs clustered together let you scale beyond your desktop workstation.
- Enjoy the high quality interactive rendering performance of a multi-GPU workstation from a remote, light-weight computer.
- Centralising GPU rendering resources in a data center allows multiple 3D artists to benefit from powerful, multi-GPU rendering.
How NVIDIA Iray Works With NVIDIA Quadro VCA
By combining Iray and VCA users can experience fully interactive ray-traced graphics as part of their design workflow. Every Iray plugin and native integration includes the ability to send rendering work directly to the Quadro VCA instead of using the local system resources. Within the Iray settings interface, you must specify the IP address of your visual computing cluster. When connected, texture and geometry data is transferred and cached onto the cluster. The visual computing cluster is responsible for dividing the render work among all the VCAs in the cluster and collecting the results. The final rendered image is interactively streamed to the application in either 16-bit lossless, JPEG, or H.264.
