ASUS ROG STRIX TRX40-XE GAMING Gaming Motherboard - 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper TRX4
Speed and Connectivity
Power Solution
The monstrous compute power of high core count (HCC) processors necessitates a power circuit that rapidly responds to massive current swings. And those demands increase exponentially when the CPU is overclocked. Featuring an array of 16 strategically paired power stages, the ROG Strix TRX470-E Gaming's VRM is geared for any workload and all operating conditions.
Cooling Innovation
ACTIVE VRM HEATSINK
An active cooling VRM heatsink provides a large contact area for the MOSFETs and chokes, enabling more efficient cooling of the MOS heatsink for better performance and wattage resistance.
Stacked-Fin Heatsink:
Closely-packed, multi-layered fins maximize the surface area to speed heat dissipation from the controller, improving cooling.
Backplate:
A backplate on the rear of the board helps balance MOSFET temperatures while providing structural reinforcement.
Active Chipset Heatsink:
PCIe 4.0 provides twice the bandwidth for data flowing through the chipset, which creates more heat than the previous generation. ROG Strix TX40-E Gaming features an actively cooled heatsink to prevent throttling during sustained transfers.
Wi-Fi 6 (AX200)
ROG Strix TRX40-E Gaming features the latest Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 with 2x2 MU-MIMO and wide 160Mhz channels, for wireless speeds of up to 2.4Gbps. It also offers Bluetooth 5.0 for connections that are up to 2X faster than ever before, and boasts up to 4X the range.
2.5Gbps Ethernet
2.5G on-board Ethernet kicks your LAN connection up a notch with an up to 2.5X bandwidth improvement. Using your existing LAN cable, you can take advantage this networking upgrade to experience smoother, lag-free gaming, immediately stream high-resolution videos and enjoy faster file transfers.
Intel 1Gbps Ethernet
ROG Strix X299-E Gaming II features Intel Ethernet (I219-V), ensuring data exchanges with your network and the outside world are fast and smooth. Intel LAN reduces CPU overhead and increases TCP and UDP throughput, keeping more processing power.
Personalization
LiveDash
Zenith II Extreme is equipped with LiveDash, a built-in Color 1.3 OLED panel that displays useful information and customizable graphics
ROG Pre-mounted I/O Shield
Due to the unique latching mechanism of the integrated I/O shield, the new design allows for significantly greater contact between the I/O shield and the onboard connectors. This increases ESD resilience by twice the industry standard.
Addressable Gen 2 Headers: Upgraded Design for Addressable RGB
ROG Strix TRX40-E Gaming's addressable Gen 2 headers are now capable of detecting the number of LEDs on second-gen addressable RGB devices, allowing the software to automatically tailor lighting effects to specific devices. The new headers also offer backward-compatibility with existing Aura RGB gear.
