RapidFlex A1000

Western Digital RapidFlex A1000 NVMe-oF ASIC

The RapidFlex A1000 NVMe-oF ASIC Device is a cutting-edge solution to enable NVMe over Fabrics. Capable of delivering 100Gb of converged ethernet connectivity in a small 21mm package with 7W of power and no DRAM, the RapidFlex A1000 supports RoCEv1 and RoCEv2 (RDMA over Converged Ethernet). Direct peer-to-peer memory communication between computers and storage devices with little to no CPU usage reduces latency and potential bottlenecking. The RapidFlex A1000 is the chip that functions the RapidFlex C1000 PCIe NIC.

OpenFlex 24

OpenFlex Data24 - Storage Excellence

Equip the RapidFlex A1000 via PCIe to fabric-enabled NVMe SSD storage server or Western Digitals’s OpenFlex Data24. The OpenFlex Data24 can support up to six RapidFlex A1000 enabling cloud-like flash storage. Connect locally to individual Compute Nodes or to an Ethernet Fabric Switch to share data via PCIe across multiple devices. Incorporate a Composability Management Server to disaggregate storage from other processing components to make the OpenFlex a part of a Composable Disagreggated Infrastructure (CDI) for even more advanced flexibility.
