Black Box AVX-VGA-TP-TX-8 MediaCento VX 8-Port Transmitter
Long-Distance VGA Distribution with MediaCento VX
The MediaCento VX system solves the challenge of distributing high-quality analog RGB video and audio over long distances using common copper CATx cable, eliminating the need to pull new, bulky VGA cables.
Extending Reach and Maintaining Quality
This system allows you to send eight channels of VGA video, stereo audio, and serial signals up to 492 feet (150 m) or 1000 feet (300 m). By integrating cascaded receiver repeaters, the distribution chain can extend to over 2000 feet (609.6 m). It maintains support for common resolutions, including WUXGA (1920 x 1200) and Full HD (1920 x 1080), even at the longest distances. Long-range receivers feature advanced controls for skew compensation, sharpness, and brightness, making it easy to fine-tune image quality over extended cable runs. For optimal performance, the system includes an EDID copy function and is HDCP-compliant. The transmitter also includes a local VGA port and audio jack for connecting a monitor and speakers near the source.
Easy Integration and Control
The MediaCento VX transmitter and receivers install directly into an existing non-networked CATx infrastructure for fast and simple integration. Management is made easy through a unique, user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI), which replaces complex commands. The GUI lets you control all VGA screen connections, easily enabling or disabling video and audio outputs, and even placing extender devices into groups for simplified control in command and control or broadcasting applications. Configuration is flexible, allowing you to easily expand the system, set up branches, and apply settings across all devices. The system also features automatic signal detection and supports RS-232 signal transmission for connecting to a management computer.
