PC-over-IP (PCoIP) Technology
Eliminating the need for local computing power, PC-over-IP (PCoIP) technology simply transfers the image of software running on a central server or workstation to any PCoIP-ready end-point. The PCoIP on the central source, compresses, encrypts and rapidly transports image pixels to PCoIP end-user devices.
Equipped with AMD PCoIP remote graphics solutions in the server environment, physical system at the user’s desk can be replaced with a thin/zero client connecting to dedicated workstation graphic power. (see figure 1)

AMD FirePro™ R5000 remote graphics is AMD’s second generation solution based on Teradici PCoIP technology for remoting workstation computing experiences. Its sophisticated PCoIP transmission and compression capabilities enable a true PC experience with full multi-monitor 3D and video support.
Delivering uncompromised quality of graphics and a user experience on par with physical desktop workstations, AMD FirePro R5000 is capable of remoting up to four 1920x1200 resolution displays per user (requires compatible Teradici PCoIP client device, e.g. Dell Wyse P45). By centralizing PC hardware in one location, the AMD FirePro R5000 with Teradici PCoIP technology helps reduce IT overhead, and streamline system management. IT can quickly setup users and satellite offices without having to deal with workstations on site. Sensitive data and intellectual property never leavess the data center - just pixels.
